We promise a curation of unique, heartfelt, mind-bending or gut-wrenching stories that challenge and celebrate humanity. Selected films are unapologetic and free in their exploration of what encapsulates the human spirit. We are so looking forward to you joining us in this celebration of love for indie films, expression and the human spirit. For little shorts…with BIG hearts!
In 2025, the festival will run over two weekends, and you can simply purchase tickets any session you like, or grab a festival pass for the full experience. Come and go as you please and immerse yourself in everything Sparrowland has to offer.

A thrilling Halloween special showcasing Sparrowland’s most terrifying, ghoulish and gory short films from Australia and across the globe. Dress up…if you dare! First screening on Friday 31st and an encore on Saturday 1st.
