Parenthood has never been this fabulous.
Steve is a single dad drag queen doing his damn best to stay in the spotlight. His tradie son, Davey, is growing frustrated living in Steve’s shimmering shadow, certain his dad is still in there somewhere — beneath the false eyelashes. Maybe that’s why Davey is so head over heels for the sexually liberated Lee? And Steve’s meddlesome mother-in-law, Judy, is a constant reminder of his late ex-girlfriend, inserting her opinions into every facet of his life.
Part drag fantasy, part family grind, Steve the Queen is a glamorous whirlwind of sex, effigies, meatless meatballs, wet wipes, and a wig named “Felicia” — an unapologetic exploration of authenticity, parenthood and chosen families.
Is blood truly any thicker than water?
