Cameron Hurry Wins Matilda Award
“Grand Horizon’s, we had fun, didn’t we!” Cameron Hurry shared in his winning speech. His words rang true as he claimed a MATILDA for BEST PERFORMANCE in a supporting role in an independent production. Cameron won this award for his role as Brian, the dramatic and high-strung drama teacher in our production of Grand Horizons last year.
For anyone who doesn’t quite know what a Matilda is, these are annual awards that recognise excellence in cabaret, dance, theatre, and performance in Southeast Queensland. So it’s a HUGE deal that Cameron won!
We honestly could not be more proud; Cameron brought so much warmth and energy to PIP, and we cannot wait to see what the future has in store for him!
Take a look at the gif below of Amelia, Deidre, Jenna and the award winner himself Cameron!
