STAGING YOUR PRODUCTION AT PIP
Co-Productions & Venue Hire
If you’re interested in staging a production at PIP Theatre, we offer a range of models and opportunities, including venue hire, co-productions, and PIP-produced productions.
All submissions for productions to be staged at PIP Theatre, whether co-productions or hires, are assessed and considered by the PIP team.
Co-Productions
Co-Productions are programmed in our curated season of works at PIP Theatre. Co-Productions are an agreement between an external producer and PIP as a box office split arrangement. The producer submits a proposal to be considered for our season of works. Productions submitted for this arrangement are ideal for a run of 2-3 weeks.
Co-Production applications for 2024 are now closed. We are now programming for 2025.
Venue Hires
Hires are completely external. We offer standard venue hire rates (daily, hourly, weekly) tailored to various venue usage needs. Producers keep the entire net box office earnings under this arrangement. This option is best suited for shorter runs of less than two weeks or one-off shows, or where a set hire fee is more ideal than a box-office split.
PIP Productions
PIP is not only a venue but also a production company. We produce a selection of plays in our season. Crew and cast are engaged on project-by-project basis, but we also encourage creatives to reach out or apply for our callouts.
Venue Hire Rates
Hire fees are available upon application and confirmation of your booking requirements. We have various rates depending on the nature of the booking, whether it’s for productions, theatre hire (non-productions), LVL1, rehearsals, workshops, and more. Please reach out to us to discuss your specific needs and receive appropriate rates.
Booking Requiements we neeed from you:
Productions: Dates/Times, how many shows, Stage/Set requirements, syponopsis and any other information about the production.
Standard Venue Hire: Nature of event, dates/times, number of participants
All ticketing services are managed by PIP Theatre through our official website at piptheatre.org, using our secure ticketing system. Box office fees and charges will be provided on enquiry of the booking if applicable.
Standard Hire
We can accommodate space for rehearsals, workshops, training and/or classes either in the Theatre, or our training room on Level 1. Our Venue is available for hire outside of our season of works. Please get in touch regarding hire rates and availability.
PIP Theatre acknowledges the Yuggera and Turrbal people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we gather together. We pay our respects to Elders Past, Present and Emerging.
