Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing a ticket. By purchasing a ticket from PIP Theatre, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Ticketing terms and conditions have been implemented with consideration of the Live Performance Australia Code of Ticketing Practice and the Australian Consumer Law.
1. Definitions
‘PIP Theatre’ references PIP ARTS LIMITED trading as PIP Theatre ABN 81 658 477 582, its successors and assigns or any person acting on behalf of and with the authority of PIP ARTS LIMITED. This includes external production companies using the PIP Theatre venue, named ‘Producers’.
2.Ticket Purchases
2.1 Tickets are only valid if legitimately purchased through piptheatre.org or the box office, either at the venue or via phone.
2.2 A confirmed purchase of a ticket will not receive a refund or exchange on any transaction fee, except as provided for in these Terms and Conditions in part 4.
2.3 Tickets will only be received upon receipt of full payment. Tickets are emailed to the registered email address upon purchase. E-tickets may be presented digitally upon entrance or printed by the customer.
2.4 The ticket must not be resold at a premium or for commercial purposes without prior written consent from PIP Theatre. A ticket sold in contravention of this condition may be seized or cancelled and the bearer of the ticket may be denied admission without a refund.
3.Pricing and Payment
3.1 All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST if applicable. A tax invoice is available upon request to PIP Theatre.
3.2 Prices are subject to change without notice.
3.3 Booking fees may apply to your ticket purchase and you will be notified of the applicable fee prior to purchase.
3.4 Concessions only apply to Centrelink issued Pensioner cardholders, Veterans Affairs and full-time students. You may be required to present a relevant ID upon entrance. If you do not present a concession ID, you may be charged the difference for the full ticket price.
4. Refunds and exchanges policy
4.1 Tickets are non-refundable. However, the ticket holder is permitted to exchange their ticket for another performance date of the same production if 24 hours’ notice is provided prior to the start date of the original ticket.
4.2 PIP Theatre and its producers may add, withdraw or substitute artists or vary advertised programs, performance times, venue, seating arrangements or audience capacity. Tickets will not be exchanged or refunded as a result of these changes, except as provided for in this Refunds and Exchanges Policy, the Live Performance Australia (LPA) Code or as required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law).
4.3 If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, PIP Theatre will attempt to notify ticket holders of the cancellation or rescheduling via email and/or telephone. However, we do not guarantee that ticket holders will be informed of such cancellation or rescheduling prior to the event. It is the ticket holder’s responsibility to notify PIP Theatre of any changes to their contact details.
4.4 Refunds or exchanges will be granted if an event is cancelled or rescheduled by PIP Theatre. To the extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), PIP Theatre and its producers will not reimburse the ticket holder for auxiliary expenses (such as the cost of travel, car-parking, child-care and accommodation) or other consequential loss suffered by you in connection with your attendance or non-attendance at an event. We recommend that you obtain your ticket and/or travel insurance for those expenses.
4.5 To the extent permitted by Law (including the Australian Consumer Law), neither PIP Theatre nor its producers are liable to refund to you any amount beyond the face value of the Ticket.
4.5 Missed Performances:
Tickets will not be refunded or exchanged due to the ticket holder’s inability to attend the performance, including instances such as inability to find parking. We recommend patrons plan their arrival with sufficient time to accommodate potential delays and parking considerations.
