Since the dawn of time, mankind has struggled against a singular great evil: automated phone systems. This is a story about one of those struggles. The average person spends one thousand and thirty hours of their life on hold, but it only takes one of those hours to change Dave forever. A modern-day epic, company-man Dave is tasked with getting an update on a delivery by ruthless manager Devon. Little does he realise this simple task will have him face his own Goliath in a tale of love, woe, rising empires, crumbling cities, repetitive hold music, and at the end of it all, he might just get an update on where his bloody package is.
