Georgina Sawyer (our FOH) writes new Short Film
I want to give a shoutout to a close friend of mine, as well as one of our beloved front-of-house staff members, Georgina Sawyer. Georgina has worked at PIP Theatre since the very beginning of PIP Theatre in 2022, and we’ve been very lucky to have her.
On the 4th of June 2024, Georgina premiered her very own short film, ‘Calaboose’, at PIP Theatre as part of UQ’s film society. Not only is she the associate producer, but she wrote the script for the film, edited the entire piece together, and played the role of Teresa.
She managed to sell out our LVL 2 theatre at 130 seats. Here she was with her flyers, getting ready for the big night! Take a look at the trailer for her film below and make sure you support ‘Calaboose’ in any upcoming film awards.
Recently, in August 2024 Georgina also performed at PIP Theatre with producers Salad Days Collective to bring Scenes with Girls. She is an extremely passionate actor who is constantly making work for herself in an extremely competitive industry. She has such a bright future ahead of her and we are so glad we have been able to be a part of it.
From,
Jenna xx
