Initial Consult is a musical-comedy show that unpacks the intricate world of a mandated psychology session and the daily struggles with diet-culture, ADHD, anxiety and the search for success. The show had a successful run at the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe and is going to The Adelaide Fringe in February 2024.

Initial Consult is a show about dealing with, or failing to deal with, life’s problems
– Edinburgh Review 2023

Grimmer transforms the audience into her court-appointed therapist, going so far as to give them each a pen and paper for writing notes… She manages to straddle the line between acknowledging the importance of therapy while lampooning our culture’s sudden fluency in its vernacular, and she does it deftly.
– Fringe Review 2023

Grimmer, an Australian Catherine Tate with a dash of Kristin Wiig and the musical timing of Rachel Bloom, raises the bar with her spot-on deliveries and hilarious observations.
– Fringe Review
‘Initial Consult’ is the best sort of comedy solo show, one that sticks with you long after you’ve seen it and makes you smile at its memory.
– Fringe Review 2023
