TICKETING TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing a ticket. By purchasing a ticket from PIP Theatre, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Ticketing terms and conditions have been implemented with consideration of the Live Performance Australia Code of Ticketing Practice and the Australian Consumer Law. 

1. Definitions 

‘PIP Theatre’ references PIP ARTS LIMITED trading as PIP Theatre ABN 81 658 477 582, its successors and assigns or any person acting on behalf of and with the authority of  PIP ARTS LIMITED. This includes external production companies using the PIP Theatre venue, named ‘Producers’. 

2.Ticket Purchases

2.1 Tickets are only valid if legitimately purchased through piptheatre.org or the box office, either at the venue or via phone. 

2.2 A confirmed purchase of a ticket will not receive a refund or exchange on any transaction fee, except as provided for in these Terms and Conditions in part 4. 

2.3 Tickets will only be received upon receipt of full payment. Tickets are emailed to the registered email address upon purchase. E-tickets may be presented digitally upon entrance or printed by the customer. 

2.4 The ticket must not be resold at a premium or for commercial purposes without prior written consent from PIP Theatre. A ticket sold in contravention of this condition may be seized or cancelled and the bearer of the ticket may be denied admission without a refund.

3.Pricing and Payment

3.1 All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST if applicable. A tax invoice is available upon request to PIP Theatre. 

3.2 Prices are subject to change without notice.

3.3 Booking fees may apply to your ticket purchase and you will be notified of the applicable fee prior to purchase.

3.4 Concessions only apply to Centrelink issued Pensioner cardholders, Veterans Affairs and full-time students. You may be required to present a relevant ID upon entrance. If you do not present a concession ID, you may be charged the difference for the full ticket price. 

4. Refunds and exchanges policy

4.1 Tickets are non-refundable. However, the ticket holder is permitted to exchange their ticket for another performance date of the same production if 48 hours’ notice is provided prior to the start date of the original ticket. COVID-19 refund policies can also be seen in section 5.

4.2 PIP Theatre and its producers may add, withdraw or substitute artists or vary advertised programs, performance times, venue, seating arrangements or audience capacity. Tickets will not be exchanged or refunded as a result of these changes, except as provided for in this Refunds and Exchanges Policy, the Live Performance Australia (LPA) Code or as required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law).

4.3 If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, PIP Theatre will attempt to notify ticket holders of the cancellation or rescheduling via email and/or telephone. However, we do not guarantee that ticket holders will be informed of such cancellation or rescheduling prior to the event. It is the ticket holder’s responsibility to notify PIP Theatre of any changes to their contact details.

4.4 Refunds or exchanges will be granted if an event is cancelled or rescheduled by PIP Theatre. To the extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), PIP Theatre and its producers will not reimburse the ticket holder for auxiliary expenses (such as the cost of travel, car-parking, child-care and accommodation) or other consequential loss suffered by you in connection with your attendance or non-attendance at an event. We recommend that you obtain your ticket and/or travel insurance for those expenses.

4.5 To the extent permitted by Law (including the Australian Consumer Law), neither PIP Theatre nor its producers are liable to refund to you any amount beyond the face value of the Ticket.

5. Covid-19 Refund and Exchange Policy

5.1 PIP Theatre will provide a refund or exchange where the ticket holder advises PIP Theatre, within a reasonable period of time before the event, that you or any member of the booking party:

5.1.1 are required to isolate or quarantine under laws aimed at reducing the spread of Covid-19 (and the event falls within the isolation/quarantine period);

5.1.2 are diagnosed as having Covid-19;

5.1.3 exhibit symptoms of Covid-19 (e.g. fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose or loss of sense of smell) (‘Covid Symptoms’);

5.1.4 have been in close contact with anyone displaying Covid Symptoms as by QLD government definition; or

5.1.5 have been tested for Covid-19 and are awaiting the results (and the event falls within the period of awaiting test results)

6. COVID-19 specific conditions of entry

6.1 You acknowledge that the event may be scheduled to be held, or will be held, during a time at which one or more Government directions or regulations may be in force regarding the number of persons attending an event (or the holding of the event itself). If that is the case, then the number of persons permitted to be in or around the Venue may be affected, resulting in PIP Theatre to be required to;

6.1.1 cancel or postpone the event;

6.1.2 reduce the number of persons who may attend the event;

6.1.3 change your seating allocation; and/or

6.1.4 change any standing or seating configurations for attendance at the event;

in which case You may receive a refund in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

6.2 You agree to comply with all Government directions, orders and regulations relevant to attending PIP Theatre events, which may be in place at the time of the event.

6.3  In the event you are contacted directly by the Government, including the Department of Health for the purposes of contact tracing, you must: 

6.3.1 make the contact details of your group available to the Government (if you have the consent of each group member to do so); or 

6.3.2 contact each member of your group, and request that they provide their contact details to the Government directly.

6.4 All attendees in your group, including yourself, must commit to stopping the spread of COVID-19. If at the time of the event, either you, or any other members of your group are feeling unwell or are subject to a self-quarantine or self-isolation period, you agree not to attend the event. If you do attend the event, you agree to assume all risk associated with COVID-19

7. Accessibility

7.1 PIP Theatre is a dedicated, welcoming and accessible venue for all audience members. 

7.2 PIP Theatre has dedicated seating for patrons in wheelchairs and their guests. In order to ensure the best possible experience, it is essential that we obtain all the necessary information at the time of booking. For this reason, bookings for wheelchair seating must be made by emailing info@piptheatre.org.

7.3 Companion Cardholders are eligible for a single complimentary ticket for their chosen companion. Please email info@piptheatre.org  prior to booking to receive the complimentary ticket code. The cardholder must provide their Companion Card details at the time of booking and prior to the performance,
